Those European Cartoons

I wanted to jump in on this flaming issue, but without my usual verbosity. Rather, I will keep this somewhat concise. The current turmoil, violence, and insanity over the offensive anti-Muslim cartoons teaches us a couple things.

1. The "Christian Right" is not what the God-less left needs to fear or worry about, they should now, especially in Europe, be able to see that group of people that is the greatest threat to them. You see, we Christians, while angered when our religion is mocked or treated in such a way, have come to "tolerate" it, maybe too much. (no, not guns, but we could certainly use more unity on things like boycotts).

2. The Muslims in the Middle East can now see, that while they may not agree with Christians on theology, it is the God-less socialists and communists that so unthinkingly mock us, the people of faith, whether we be Muslim, Christian, or Jewish. It is that atheist left that is a much greater threat to all of us, who are believers, than we are to each other.

Now, if only we, who believe in so many common moral absolutes, we conservative Christians, Muslims, and Jews, (and any other religions that share a common belief in morality and share our common values) would work together, to make the world a better place, rather than burning down each other's churches, mosques, and synagogues. We have a very long way to go, and we of faith are the people that need to assert our vision of what the world should be. We were left as stewards of God's creations, and it is up to us to live up to that responsibility.
